Cable Beach Club Resort is always a stunning venue to shoot at but it was particularly lovely to be part of Claire + Hamish's beautiful Wedding on a sunny dry season day in Broome. We love this part of the world at this time of the year. The days are warm and full of sunshine while the nights are fresh and crisp. The Okari Deck is such a romantic setting to have an outdoor celebration overlooking the pacific ocean. An amazing team of incredible local vendors made this day just perfect.

Claire and Hamish met almost 9 years ago at a bar close to where they both worked in Perth. They became friends and then went out to dinner one night then that was the end of their single lives. They had only been to Broome once before but loved the beaches, scenery and the relaxed vibe. It was only a two-hour flight from Perth but felt like an entirely different country to them. They knew that they didn’t want to get married in Perth as they wanted to get away with a handful of their closest friends and family and enjoy some quality holiday time with them and Broome ticked all the boxes for that. A lot of their guests hadn’t been before so they put together a little holiday ‘must see and do’ package for them.

Claire and Hamish didn’t really have a vision as they only saw the reception and ceremony locations on the brochure when they booked it and when they went up to Broome two months prior they got a better picture of how they wanted their wedding to look. They knew they wanted to celebrate the colours of Broome so they used an aerial shot of the mangroves from instagrammer @beyond_the_black_stump as their wedding invite. They used another aerial shot of the Gantheaume Point coastline for their menus, welcome sign and place cards which they designed together. They basically did a lot of the stuff for their wedding- bonbonnieres, menus, music playlists, guestbook etc. They loved doing this together as a couple and thought it was so much fun!
